This opportunity is for a Behavior Specialist supporting K-12 students in a school setting located in Mount Pleasant, SC. The role involves working with schools within the Charleston County School District, primarily focusing on behavior intervention services for middle school students as part of the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process. The position requires full-time commitment on-site and is available immediately through May 29, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs. Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to develop strategies that support positive student behavior. Participate actively in the MTSS process to provide data-driven behavioral support. Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as necessary. Assist in training staff on behavior support techniques and crisis intervention. Qualifications: Experience working as a Behavior Specialist or Behavior Interventionist, preferably within K-12 school settings. Ability to support MTSS frameworks and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams. Strong understanding of behavioral assessment and intervention strategies. Effective communication skills with students, families, and school personnel. Licensure or certification as required by the state or district standards (if applicable). Location: Mount Pleasant, SC, with services primarily in the downtown Charleston area. Contract Details: Duration: Contract through the current school year, ending May 29, 2026.
