School Behavior Specialist in Charleston, SC

Job Description Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Behavior Interventionist is needed to support the MTSS process within a K-12 school environment in the downtown Charleston area. This contract position runs through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and ending on May 29, 2026. The primary focus will be on providing behavioral support and intervention strategies in collaboration with educators and staff to promote positive student outcomes. Responsibilities: Implement behavior intervention plans to support students in a middle school setting Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address behavioral challenges Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Support the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process to improve student behavior and academic success Communicate effectively with parents and school personnel regarding student needs and progress Qualifications: Experience working as a Behavior Specialist or Behavior Interventionist, preferably within a school setting Understanding of MTSS frameworks and behavior intervention techniques Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Licensure or certification relevant to behavior intervention or special education is highly desirable Location: Downtown Charleston area, South Carolina (on-site) This contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student behavior and learning outcomes within a supportive school environment.
