Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An occupational therapy opportunity is available for a licensed professional to provide direct support in an elementary school setting. This full-time, onsite position involves delivering school-based OT services within early years and elementary programs, focusing on addressing the developmental and functional needs of students. Location: New Castle, DE Duration: Current School Year Contract through 6/12/2026 Work Hours: 8:45 AM 4:15 PM, 37.5 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students in early childhood and elementary education settings Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to maximize developmental outcomes Maintain documentation and compliance with school district and state regulatory standards Participate in team meetings and support students educational goals through multidisciplinary collaboration Qualifications and Experience: Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license required; submission of license verification is necessary Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy role, preferably working with early years and elementary-aged students Strong knowledge of pediatric OT practices and educational environments Effective communication and documentation skills in educational settings Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite full-time during required hours Additional Details: Two position options available: full-time Early Years Program or split schedule between Early Years and elementary school Interview conducted via Microsoft Teams (1530 minutes) Background fingerprinting must be completed promptly after contract signing This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student development in a supportive school environment.
