Occupational Therapist (OT) School-Based | Newark, DE | Contract (Current School Year) A full-time, onsite occupational therapist position is available to support elementary and early years students in a Delaware school setting. This role requires an active Delaware OT license and proven experience working within school-based programs. The position involves collaborating closely with students, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services tailored to the unique needs of a school population. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in early childhood and elementary school programs Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to OT Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student participation and learning Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with school and state requirements Participate in team meetings, screenings, and assessments as needed Qualifications and Experience: Active and current Delaware Occupational Therapy license (submission of licensure verification required) Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, particularly in early years or elementary education settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and school personnel Ability to work onsite full time, Monday through Friday, with a consistent schedule of 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM Reliable transportation and flexibility to commute to the assigned school location Position Details: Location: Newark, Delaware (onsite) Contract Duration: ASAP start through June 12, 2026 Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours per week Assignments available: Full-time Early Years Program (5 days/week) or split schedule (3 days/week Early Years + 2 days/week elementary) Benefits: Valuable experience in a structured school environment Collaborative work setting with early childhood and elementary education professionals Opportunity to impact student development and educational success directly Qualified occupational therapists with active Delaware licensure and school-based experience are encouraged to apply promptly.
