Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support students in an elementary school setting in Semmes, AL. This contract position is for the current school year, with an anticipated start date in March 2025 through May 29, 2026. The role involves working on-site at a single school, serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy support to students in grades K-5. Assist the speech-language pathologist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Monitor and document student progress. Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support student communication goals. Maintain compliance with state regulations and school policies. Qualifications: Must be registered with the Board of Speech Examiners. Valid SLPA license issued by the Alabama Department of Education is required for direct hire only. Previous experience supporting speech-language therapy services in a school setting is preferred. Ability to work 35 hours per week on-site. Strong communication and organizational skills.
