Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting in Detroit, MI. This contract opportunity involves working primarily with high school students in a dynamic school district environment. The role requires a professional with specific school-based OT experience to deliver effective therapeutic interventions and enhance student participation and success. Key Qualifications: Valid Occupational Therapy license Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy, particularly in K-12 settings Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Strong understanding of educational regulations and IDEA requirements Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Experience working directly onsite within a school environment (remote work not available) COTA candidates will not be considered for this position Location: Detroit, Michigan (onsite in a high school setting) Responsibilities: Conduct student assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy programs Implement interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student accommodations and modifications Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state and federal education guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions This is a contract position with a commitment through June 12, 2026, requiring approximately 15 hours per week onsite.
