Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support diverse learners in a K-12 school setting located in Mesquite, TX. This contract role covers the current school year (CSY) and focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students requiring various special education services. Key responsibilities include: Providing resource inclusion support at the elementary level Delivering homebound instruction and inclusion services for middle school students Teaching LIFE curriculum to elementary students with significant disabilities Implementing PASS (behavioral support) programs at the elementary level Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments Developing and adapting individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs Qualifications or desired experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience in resource room support and inclusion models for elementary and middle school students Familiarity with homebound instruction strategies Ability to teach LIFE and behavioral support programs effectively Strong collaboration and communication skills This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the educational experiences of students with diverse learning needs across multiple grade levels.
