Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher is needed for a K-12 school located in Richardson, TX, specializing in resource inclusion, homebound services, and behavioral support across multiple grade levels. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in diverse educational settings. Responsibilities include: Delivering resource inclusion instruction for elementary students with special needs. Providing homebound educational services and supporting inclusion programs in middle school. Teaching LIFE curriculum tailored for elementary students requiring specialized instruction. Implementing PASS behavioral interventions and supports at the elementary level. Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with applicable laws and school policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience with resource inclusion and behavior support programs, especially PASS. Proven ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of elementary and middle school students. Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and educational teams. Familiarity with homebound education protocols and standards. Commitment to inclusion and fostering a positive learning environment.
