Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity calls for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support K-2 students in an elementary school setting in Seattle, WA. This full-time contract position lasts through the current school year, with an immediate start and end-of-school-year duration. The role involves managing a caseload of 23 students, providing individualized educational support and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement specialized instructional plans aligned with individual education programs (IEPs) for students in grades K through 2 Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to optimize learning outcomes Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create a cohesive educational environment Maintain detailed records and documentation related to student performance and interventions Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports the social and emotional development of students Desired Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-2 education Experience working with young learners in a special education setting Strong skills in individualized instruction and behavior management Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational skills Location: Seattle, Washington, within an elementary school serving early childhood grades This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on young learners educational journeys by providing tailored support during critical developmental years.
