Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school serving students in kindergarten through 2nd grade. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction and support to a caseload of 23 students with special education needs Develop and implement tailored education plans aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with all applicable regulations Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with K-2 students in an elementary school setting Strong knowledge of special education laws, curriculum, and best practices Ability to manage a caseload and adapt to a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Location: Tacoma, WA This position offers an opportunity to directly impact young learners' educational growth by providing specialized support.
