An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an inclusive/co-taught setting. This contract position runs from January 15 to June 15, providing valuable experience in a dynamic educational environment. Location: Newark, NJ Grade Level: Middle School Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:55 AM 3:05 PM Duration: January 15 through June 15 Assignment Type: Contract, CSY (Continuous School Year) Caseload: Middle school students with diverse learning needs in an inclusion/co-teaching model Number of Buildings: 1 Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities in a co-taught classroom Collaborate with general education teachers to foster an inclusive learning environment Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly Maintain compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and school policies Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administration to support student success Qualified candidates will possess: Certification in Special Education Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in inclusion or co-teaching settings Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner profiles Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys during the school year.
