A leading Special Education Co-Op in Burbank, IL is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide FMLA leave coverage in various K-12 school settings. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students both at the co-op facility and within member district buildings, serving a diverse student population from elementary through high school. The assignment will begin immediately and continue through the end of February, with a caseload tailored to the candidates experience and district needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver social work services to students across various grade levels, from elementary to high school. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student wellbeing and academic success. Provide assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed. Manage caseload effectively while maintaining confidential records and complying with relevant policies. Adapt to different school environments within the co-op and member districts. Desired Qualifications: Valid ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Social Work certification. Experience working in K-12 school settings, preferably with special education populations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered approach. Flexibility to work across multiple locations and age groups. Ability to manage a caseload independently and provide timely documentation. Location: Burbank, IL This position involves service at the co-ops facility and various member district schools. This .6 FTE (3-day) contract opportunity is ideal for social workers ready to make an immediate impact by supporting students during FMLA coverage periods.
