This opportunity is for a School Social Worker to provide support within a K-12 special education cooperative located in Burbank, IL. The position involves covering FMLA leave immediately through the end of February, working across both cooperative classrooms and member district buildings. The role offers a contracted assignment for the current school year, focusing on delivering social work services to students ranging from elementary to high school levels. Caseload size and specific duties will be tailored based on the candidates experience and the needs of the students served. Key Responsibilities: Deliver social work interventions and support services to students across multiple school settings. Collaborate with educators, families, and district staff to address social-emotional and behavioral needs. Manage caseload effectively while adapting to varying age groups and student requirements. Provide coverage for FMLA leave with a schedule of approximately three days per week (.6 FTE). Assist in compliance with special education and FMLA-related regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Worker endorsement. Experience working within K-12 special education settings. Ability to work across multiple locations and engage students of diverse ages and backgrounds. Familiarity with FMLA leave procedures and special education cooperative environments. Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently. Location: Burbank, Illinois serving classrooms at the special education cooperative and member district school buildings.
