Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support diverse student populations within a K-12 school setting in Burbank, IL. This contract role offers the chance to contribute to specialized classrooms designed to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and developmental goals under the A.E.R.O. Special Education Co-Op. Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction in a variety of special education environments including: Elementary STAR classrooms focused on autism for elementary and intermediate ages Middle School STAR autism classrooms Multi-Needs High School classrooms supporting students with severe and profound disabilities with additional staff engagement CONNECT transition programs serving ages 18-22 Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum to meet students' needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth and engagement Maintain compliance with state educational standards and documentation requirements Qualifications: Valid ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) for Special Education Experience working with students in autism-focused classrooms and severe/profound needs Ability to work effectively in environments requiring collaboration with additional support staff Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusive education Location:Burbank, Illinois K-12 School Setting This contract opportunity covers the current school year (CSY), providing specialized educational support within a cooperative model that values teamwork and student-centered instruction.
