Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K-12 within a full-time, contract position for the current school year in Avondale, AZ. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities. Adapt general education lessons and materials to meet diverse learning requirements. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent progress and inclusive education. Monitor and document student performance and behavior, adjusting strategies as necessary. Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local special education laws, regulations, and policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience teaching students across K-12 grade levels in a special education setting. Strong knowledge of special education best practices and legal requirements. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and colleagues. Ability to create individualized lesson plans and conduct assessments.
