Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in 6th through 11th grades. This contract position offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time work, focusing on self-contained and life skills classrooms. The role will include collaboration with paraeducator support within the classroom to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the diverse needs of students in self-contained and life skills settings. Collaborate with paraeducators to provide comprehensive classroom support and facilitate effective instructional strategies. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to promote academic and social development. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress. Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth for all students. Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching credential in Special Education. Experience working with students in grades 6-11 in a self-contained or life skills environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with paraeducators and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational and communication skills. Commitment to creating a supportive and individualized learning experience. Location: Scottsdale, AZ (K-12 School setting). This contract role follows the current school year schedule and provides an engaging environment for dedicated special education professionals.
