Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-8 Special Education Teacher position is available in Sunnyvale, CA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role is perfect for a dedicated educator holding a California Education Specialist credential who is passionate about providing tailored support to students with special needs. Responsibilities: Serve as case manager for a caseload of 20 students Develop, write, and hold Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Provide Specially Designed Academic Instruction (SAI) minutes in accordance with student needs Coordinate with support providers to ensure comprehensive student assistance Maintain detailed records and collaborate with school staff to promote student success Qualifications: Valid California Education Specialist credential is required Experience working with TK-8 age students in a special education setting Strong organizational and communication skills for managing caseload and IEP responsibilities Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, five days a week Job Details: Location: Sunnyvale, CA Contract duration: Immediate start through June 5, 2026 Grade levels served: Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade 40 hours per week, 5 days per week Benefits and Perks: Weekly pay with highly competitive compensation Comprehensive insurance options including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage Matching 401(k) plan to support financial growth Flexible spending account available for additional healthcare and dependent care expenses This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys in a supportive contract environment.
