Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This Special Education Teacher position based in Wilmington, DE, offers an opportunity to impact high school students in grades 912. With an anticipated caseload of approximately 20 students, this contract position runs from ASAP until June 5, 2026, requiring full-time onsite commitment (40 hours per week). Key responsibilities include providing inclusion push-in support, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring student progress, and collaborating closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure students needs are met effectively. Candidates must hold an active Delaware Special Education Teaching Certification and be able to work onsite throughout the contract term. Preferred qualifications include prior experience working with high school students in special education, strong IEP documentation and compliance skills, and familiarity with inclusion models.
