Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support a multi-specialty cath lab in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract position involves working in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory requiring advanced skills in electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and procedural efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with expertise in EP and IR modalities Operate and maintain cath lab imaging equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during procedures Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to emergent cases as required Maintain accurate and thorough patient and procedural documentation Adhere to all regulatory and hospital protocol standards at all times Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent experience working in a high-volume, multi-specialty cath lab Current ARRT certification Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist BLS and ACLS certifications required Proven competence in electrophysiology (EP), interventional radiology (IR), and cardiac catheterization (Cath Lab) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to provide at least one reference from a cath lab supervisor within the past year Schedule/Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM 5:30 PM) with a rotating day off Rotating on-call responsibilities approximately 6-8 days per month, including weekends Call-back response within 30 minutes; minimum 4-hour call-back Location Overview:This position is based in Joliet, IL, a thriving city known for its blend of suburban and urban lifestyles.
