Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An onsite Special Education teaching position is available for grades 3rd through 6th in a K-12 school setting located in Lincoln City, OR. This role involves managing a highly severe caseload of approximately 10 students, with the support of three teaching assistants provided by the district. The focus is on delivering tailored special education services to meet the individual needs of students requiring intensive support. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students. Provide specially designed instruction to meet the academic and behavioral needs of students with significant disabilities. Employ crisis management strategies as needed to support student well-being. Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other staff to create a positive learning environment. Qualified candidates must hold an active Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement. Additional endorsements in special education will be considered a valuable asset. This contract position runs through the normal school year and requires full onsite presence, ensuring direct engagement with students and school staff. Specialized skills and experience in special education teaching, especially with higher-need students in elementary grades, are essential.
