Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join an educational environment dedicated to supporting students with significant special education needs in a K-12 setting located in Waldport, OR. This position offers an onsite opportunity to work with a highly severe caseload of approximately 10 students in grades 3 through 6, providing specialized instruction and tailored support to promote student growth and success. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Deliver specially designed instruction that addresses higher-level needs, including crisis management interventions. Collaborate with a team of three teaching assistants provided by the district to support student learning and classroom management. Maintain ongoing communication with families, staff, and support personnel to ensure cohesive educational planning and progress monitoring. Qualifications and Experience: Active Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement is required. Additional special education endorsements are highly desirable and will be considered a strong plus. Experience managing a severe special education caseload and implementing crisis management strategies is preferred. Ability to work effectively onsite within an elementary school environment serving 3rd to 6th-grade students. Location and Schedule: Position located onsite in Waldport, OR.
