A school district in Auburn, NY is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students across multiple grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply specialized skills in psychological evaluation, intervention, and consultation within an educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify student strengths and needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support student well-being Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer expert recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions Utilize data-driven methods to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly Desired Qualifications: School Psychology certification or licensure valid for practice within a school setting Experience working with diverse student populations across elementary, middle, and high school levels (Grades K-12) Strong knowledge of assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and educational laws/regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and families Ability to manage caseload effectively and maintain accurate documentation Location: Auburn, NY This role provides a meaningful chance to make a positive impact on student development and success across a broad age range.
