An elementary special education teacher position is open for a consultative resource role at an elementary school in Wilmington, DE. The role focuses on providing specialized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs within the elementary resource program. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Delaware Special Education Teaching License (attach a copy with your application) Experience working as a special education teacher in an elementary school setting Ability to collaborate with students, teachers, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment Location and Schedule: Wilmington, DE, at an elementary school Contract position from January 12, 2026, through June 11, 2026 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including a paid 30-minute lunch 37.5 hours per week Responsibilities: Provide consultative resource services to elementary students with special education needs Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt and modify curriculum and instruction Monitor and document student progress, and participate in IEP meetings and reviews Support the social, emotional, and academic growth of students Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote student success This contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences in an elementary resource setting.
