An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide essential support in an elementary school setting. This full-time contract position runs from January 12, 2026, through June 11, 2026, and is designed for educators with a passion for working with diverse learners in a consultative resource role. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to elementary students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet educational goals. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines. Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities related to special education. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Delaware Special Education Teaching License is required. Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education resource or consultative role. Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and interventions tailored to special education. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and students. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Position Details: Location: Elementary School setting in Wilmington, DE. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute paid lunch break (37.5 hours per week). Caseload focus: Elementary resource consultative support.
