Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available in an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-5 in Buena Vista, CO. This contract role runs from January 12, 2026, through June 4, 2026, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours distributed over five days. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities within both push-in and pull-out settings. Collaborate with paraprofessionals who assist with push-in services while providing targeted pull-out support. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and school staff. Required Qualifications: Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License. Experience working with K-5 students in special education settings. Ability to manage a caseload of students requiring diverse instructional approaches.
