A middle school located in Evans, GA, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs. Key Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Special Education with a major emphasis in General Curriculum Valid Georgia professional teaching certification in Special Education General Curriculum Experience collaborating with educators, parents, and service providers to support student success Skilled in maintaining accurate student records and ensuring compliance with special education regulations Ability to participate in professional development and contribute to school programs and activities Location and Schedule: Position based in a middle school in Evans, GA Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY) until 5/20/2026 Full-time, 40 hours per week Typical hours: 8:10 AM - 4:10 PM (Elementary schedule) or 7:10 AM - 3:10 PM (High & Elementary schedule) Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction according to students IEPs and needs Monitor and assess student progress, adapting methods accordingly Collaborate with staff, families, and external service providers Supervise students and support various school programs Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and documentation requirements Perform additional duties as assigned to support the school community This role offers a rewarding chance to influence students academic and social development in a supportive educational setting.
