Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher serving K-5 students in an elementary school setting located in Lawrenceville, GA. The role involves co-teaching responsibilities within a supportive classroom environment, focusing on delivering tailored instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with general education teachers to implement effective co-teaching strategies. Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Monitor student progress and communicate findings to parents, staff, and administration. Utilize instructional best practices to support academic and social development. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities. Desired Qualifications: Valid Elementary Education certification in the state of Georgia. Experience teaching special education in an elementary setting. Strong classroom management and collaborative skills. Ability to conduct assessments and develop IEPs. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Location: Elementary School setting in Lawrenceville, GA Contract Details: Contract position for the current school year (CSY) Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Additional Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete three reference checks prior to interviewing; one reference must be a current or recent principal or assistant principal.
