This full-time Behavior Specialist opening in the Chattanooga, TN area offers an engaging opportunity to work directly with K-12 students within a dynamic school district. The role requires an active BCBA licensure along with national certification and involves supporting a caseload of 10-12 students. Candidates will provide supervision to 1-2 Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and participate in the district-mandated 4-day Training on Crisis Intervention and Support (TCIS). Key Responsibilities: Design and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Supervise and mentor 1-2 RBTs to ensure consistent, effective behavior support Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioral outcomes Utilize data-driven methods to monitor progress and adjust strategies accordingly Complete the required 4-day TCIS training provided by the district Qualifications and Experience: Active BCBA licensure and national certification required Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred Ability to manage caseloads of 10-12 students effectively Strong communication and leadership skills for supervising clinical staff Commitment to professional development and crisis intervention training Assignment Details: Location: Chattanooga, TN area (Hamilton County Schools) Position Type: Contract, full-time (35-37.5 hours/week) Work Hours: Typically 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM, with potential flexibility Duration: January 5 through May 21 Caseload and school assignments may vary This role offers the chance to impact student lives positively while expanding your professional expertise within a supportive, educational environment.
