A school district located in the Naperville, IL area is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join their K-12 team for the current school year on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about making a meaningful impact in diverse student populations requiring specialized instruction and support. Open positions include: Elementary STAR (Autism) Classroom: Serving both elementary and intermediate age groups focused on autism spectrum needs. Middle School STAR Classroom: Providing instruction and support to middle school students in an autism-focused environment. Multi-Needs High School Classroom: Supporting students with severe and profound disabilities, requiring increased staff for instructional engagement. CONNECT (18-22 Transition Program) Classroom: Assisting students in transition programs preparing for post-secondary success. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education. Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings, particularly within autism or multi-needs classrooms. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs. Strong collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams and families. Documentation of current certifications necessary for licensing verification. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students academic and behavioral goals. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as needed. Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to foster student growth. Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Participate in professional development and district meetings as required. Work Location: Naperville, Illinois (K-12 school setting) Contract Duration: Current School Year (CSY) Interested candidates must submit documentation of certifications along with their First and Last Name or IEIN number for ISBE PEL license verification.
