AI & Data – Data Architecture – Senior Manager – Power & Utilities Sector EY seeks a motivated professional with solid experience in the utilities sector to serve as a Senior Manager possessing a robust background in Data Architecture, Data Modernization, end‑to‑end data capabilities, AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI, preferably with a power systems / electrical engineering background and a proven record delivering business use cases in Transmission, Distribution, Generation, and Customer domains. The ideal candidate has worked in consulting firms and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
The Opportunity Help clients enable better business outcomes in the rapidly growing Power & Utilities sector. Lead transformative technology projects and programs, manage timelines, costs, and quality, and coach both technical and non‑technical teams. Drive continuous improvement, innovate through research and best practices, and be the trusted advisor that works directly with C‑level leaders.
Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of large‑scale AI‑ready data platforms for power utilities.
• Manage one or more technical projects, ensuring quality, risk management, and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide junior data architects and data engineers across global teams.
• Own end‑to‑end data solutions, from architecture design to implementation, leveraging cloud services, containerisation, and DevOps practices.
• Engage with senior business leaders to understand strategic goals and shape analytics requirements.
• Drive data governance, security, and quality policies aligned with industry standards.
• Build relationships with clients and contribute to business development and new‑business proposals.

In‑depth knowledge of data modelling, warehousing, lakes, and integration Best Practices
Proven leadership of large data engineering platforms
Hands‑on coding skills (Python, Java, Scala)
Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
DevOps practices and version control (Git)
Data encryption, access control, and security best practices
Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills
Enterprise Data Management, Metadata Management, Ontology Design
Ideal Additional Experience
Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Machine Learning or a comparable background
Experience at a Big 4 or a major utility
Experience with Databricks cloud data platform
Leadership and mentorship experience with a focus on professional development
