Receptionist Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized receptionist to join our team on a part-time contract basis in Downey, California. This role involves providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth front-office operations. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment while managing multi-line phone systems and handling incoming calls.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage and operate a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate parties.
  • Handle inbound calls efficiently while maintaining a courteous manner.
  • Maintain an organized reception area to uphold a detail-oriented atmosphere.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling and document management.
  • Provide clear and accurate information to callers and visitors.
  • Coordinate communication between departments and external contacts.
  • Ensure timely and courteous responses to inquiries.
  • Monitor and manage the switchboard system for up to 10 phone lines.
  • Support the team with additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist or front-office role.
  • Proficient in operating multi-line phone systems, including switchboards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Dependable work ethic with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Comfortable working part-time hours, including varying schedules.
  • Familiarity with basic administrative functions and office equipment.
