A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school in Manchester, TN, serving students in grades K-2. This contract role runs for the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to work closely with a manageable caseload of approximately 7-8 students. The daily schedule is from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM, providing consistent hours to support both instructional planning and student development. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities in grades K-2. Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes. Maintain detailed records of student performance and behavior. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth. Desired Qualifications: Current Tennessee 461 Special Education endorsement. Experience working with young learners in K-2 settings. Knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices. Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage a caseload of 7-8 students efficiently.
