Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year in a K-12 public school setting located in Winchester, TN. This contract role focuses on supporting students in grades K-2 with a caseload of approximately 7-8 children. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to implement effective educational strategies. Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Valid Tennessee 461 Special Education endorsement. Experience teaching students in grades K-2 with special education needs. Ability to manage a caseload of 7-8 students effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM.
