VP, M&A and Business Development

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical leader to join our Corporate Development team. The Corporate Development & Strategy Director will play a critical role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem development. This individual will lead complex financial analyses, manage senior-level external relationships, and drive initiatives that leverage real-world data partnerships to expand our capabilities and market reach.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop and refine corporate growth strategies aligned with business objectives.

Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and acquisition targets.

Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to assess potential transactions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.

Conduct valuation analyses, scenario planning, and ROI assessments to support executive decision-making.

Deal Execution & Negotiation

Lead due diligence processes across functional teams (finance, legal, operations, product).

Structure and negotiate complex agreements with external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for senior external stakeholders, including executives at partner organizations, investment banks, and advisors.

Communicate strategic rationale and deal progress to internal leadership and Board-level audiences.

Ecosystem Development

Drive initiatives to expand and strengthen real-world data partnerships, ensuring integration with company offerings.

Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform partnership strategy.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

8+ years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting.

Proven track record of executing M&A transactions and strategic partnerships.

Skills:

Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.

Deep understanding of real-world data ecosystems and healthcare/life sciences industry trends.
