Job Title
This position is with the Tensas Basin Levee District under the State of Louisiana.
Job Description
The mission of this agency is to provide flood protection through the operation and maintenance of a large flood control system which consists of levees, pumping stations, floodgates, floodwalls, and drainage structures. The goal of the maintenance department is to ensure that the flood control measures they are responsible for operate in the manner in which they were designed.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Operates the following heavy equipment to maintain levees and drainage channels as needed: Bulldozers, Excavators, Backhoes, Motor Grader, Dump Truck(s), Tractor Trailer, Forklift, Tractor with Various Implements, Skid Steer.
- Inspects the levee system and other flood control infrastructure to ensure that systems are operating as designed. Performs maintenance on all equipment, facilities, and other agency assets as needed.
- Operates storm water pump stations and other storm water structures as needed. May be required to perform other duties as necessary including but not limited to those related to emergency/disaster.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
