You will be part of a dynamic group of mechanical and electrical engineers responsible for the development and support of Firepower hardware for ground combat vehicles. The Firepower Hardware Specialist engineer will lead the development of hardware components and firmware covering the entire development life-cycle, from requirements development to design, to final testing and delivery of hardware products. Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or equivalent technical discipline is required (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering preferred). Ability to apply sound Engineering Principles and Practices to management of technical issues. • Able to manage and coordinate multiple projects and engineers to achieve customer satisfaction. • Capable of interacting in a team-based environment, working with various organizations throughout GDLS to include other engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, Finance, Material Acquisition, Field Support, Logistics, and Project management. • Ability and willingness to travel when required to execute job functions. • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint). • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
