Front Office Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated front office medical assistant to join a dynamic healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient operation of the clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting medical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
  • Schedule appointments, answer multi-line phones, and take accurate messages.
  • Verify insurance, collect copays, and prepare paperwork for patient visits.
  • Scan, file, and organize medical records while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist medical staff and management with daily operations as needed.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare charge slips and manage patient documentation.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth clinic flow.
  • May assist with back office tasks if required.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in medical reception or back office medical assisting.
  • Proficiency in customer service within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience assisting with vitals and working with various specialty physicians.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Thousand Oaks, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $14.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
