A large, vertically integrated construction and manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support multiple operational facilities across California. This role provides strategic and hands‑on human resources leadership across union and non‑union environments, supporting workforce planning, labor relations, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

What You’ll Do
Provide consultative HR leadership and guidance to site and business leaders across multiple locations
Align people strategy, HR policies, and processes with business objectives
Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR solutions that drive performance and engagement
Collaborate with department leaders and union representatives on labor relations matters
Interpret and apply labor agreements while ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws and employment regulations
Develop baseline metrics for HR processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Manage and mentor an HR team providing support to site managers and leadership
Coach employees, supervisors, and leaders on performance management, employee relations, change management, and career development
Facilitate talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives
Evaluate and recommend new HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Participate in succession planning and ensure alignment with performance management and staffing decisions
Travel up to 35 percent to company sites, onboarding sessions, training programs, and meetings
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience
or
High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 9 years of progressive HR generalist experience
Prior supervisory or people management experience
Strong ability to influence, partner with leadership, and build collaborative relationships
Experience supporting multi‑site operations preferred
Comfort working in union environments and regulated industries
Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information

$10,000 hiring bonus
