About the Role They are hiring an
HR Manager
to serve as the primary people leader for a U.S. manufacturing site, partnering closely with plant leadership, union representatives, and regional HR peers.
This role sits
on the front lines of the business .
Responsibilities
Serve as the go-to HR leader for
union and non-union employee relations
Partner with plant leadership on investigations, discipline, grievances, and performance issues
Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements and labor policies with confidence
Maintain compliance with U.S. (and Canadian, where applicable) labor and employment regulations
Partner with the Plant Manager and Director/VP-level leaders on workforce planning, organizational change, and leadership decisions
Support operational transformation, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Coach leaders through difficult people decisions with clarity and consistency
Own site-level HR compliance, policies, and processes
Ensure alignment with global HR frameworks while adapting to local realities
Support audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements without drama or delay
Support hiring, onboarding, and internal mobility for manufacturing and technical roles
Partner with leaders on succession planning and development for frontline and salaried leaders
Reinforce a culture of
safety, accountability, and engagement
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive HR experience
in a global organization
Required Skills
Strong employee relations and
union experience
Experience in manufacturing, plant, or technically complex operating environments
Fluency in U.S. labor law and HR compliance (Canada exposure a plus)
Ability to partner credibly with Plant Managers and senior leaders
Comfort being
visible, direct, and decisive
on-site
Ability to thrive in environments where
operations come first and HR must keep up
This is
not
a role for someone who prefers remote work, light ER exposure, or purely corporate HR.
Pay Range & Compensation Up to 15% annual bonus
