University Auditorium Facility Assistant

Job Description The Facility Assistants are the first point of contact for University Auditorium patrons and clients. These student assistants are responsible for the following:
Unlocking and securing the facility for business operations and events.
Attending to UF Performing Arts and UF School of Music equipment per training.
Answering general inquiries.
Fielding phone calls from current and prospective clients.
Assisting in preparation of the venue for events of varying scope.
Attending to the integrity of the venue security and providing access for students, clients, and patrons as authorized.
During events: answering patron questions, checking prohibited belongings, logging lost and found items, assisting venue leadership with event setup and breakdown, and, in the event of an emergency, relying on training to assist in evacuation or respond as appropriate.
Expected Salary $14.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements Candidates are employed on a part‑time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Ability to speak and write English fluently, lift 30 pounds, work in a fast‑paced environment, and maintain a pleasant demeanor under adverse circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications Prior customer service experience and venue or event management experience.
