Sr Subcontracts Specialist at Honeywell

As a Senior Government Subcontracting Specialist, you will oversee and drive procurement of material and services aligned with business leadership for your assigned commodity/category and/or region, ensuring compliance with company policies, Export/Import regulations, FAR and DFARS. You will report to the Procurement Manager and work out of our location on a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee procurement of material and services in alignment with business leadership.
Ensure compliance with company policies, FAR, and DFARS requirements.
Evaluate bids and proposals.
Identify and resolve subcontract issues.
Develop mutually acceptable solutions.
Responsible for managing all subcontracts with suppliers for products and services needed throughout project life cycles; engage with internal program office/contracts group and support Program Managers on subcontractor cost, performance, and schedule matters; administer existing subcontracts and maintain subcontract records; stay updated on regulatory changes affecting subcontracts; communicate regularly with subcontractors and address performance issues; lead in the evaluation of proposals; execute quick‑react requirements identified by the program team; respond to data calls and support audit activities.
Qualifications
Government procurement/subcontracts administration experience.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, L&C, Business, or Finance.
US Person due to contractual requirements.

Detailed understanding of DoD Procurement Life Cycle.
Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Strong negotiation skills and processes.

Procurement experience within defense, aerospace, or similar industry.
Experience managing subcontracts FFP, CP, CPIF, etc.
Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD).
Ability to understand and negotiate terms and conditions.
Ability to work independently.
