Molding Production Supervisor

Provides supervision of press operators and coordinates activities to ensure quality products for customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assures all safety procedures are followed and safety programs are supported.
Assigns experienced Press Operators to train new workers.
Meets daily with production manager to review job board for planning and scheduling.
Coordinates with Preforming and Extruding departments to manage material needs for press operators.
Works with test molders when necessary.
Provides troubleshooting assistance regarding rejected parts.
Ensures employees keep work areas clean.
Ensures that all press operators have accurately recorded time and work on labor tickets daily.
Assigns employees to presses.
Communicates all production/press-related information to the next shift.
Follows and executes molding schedules.
Manages press productivity.
Approves overtime and time off.
Hires and disciplines employees.
Assigns work to others and becomes responsible for that work.
Recommends pay increases.
Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules weekend and overtime work within the department
Supports 5-S and Lean programs
Critical thinking skills
Able to work under pressure
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications High School/GED or better.
Experience 3 years supervisory/lead related experience.
