Role Purpose The Lead Aircraft Fueler will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircraft at the airport. This individual mentors other employees and maintains a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead team members while performing fueling/defueling services in a safe and efficient manner
Drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft
Train employees during on‑the‑job training or airline‑specific training and/or assign employees to work with experienced agents
Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions
Perform daily quality‑control checks on equipment
Maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition
Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel
Perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with units of measure
Defuel aircraft as directed
Comply with attendance standards
Assist aircraft fuelers in their assigned areas to ensure they perform duties professionally, safely and efficiently according to company and carrier standards
Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance During work you have a responsibility and duty to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others. What We Are Looking For
Prior aircraft fueling experience required
Commercial driver’s license or experience in the oil and gas industry (preferred)
Minimum 18 years of age
Valid U.S. driver’s license
Pass pre‑employment colour‑vision test
Pass pre‑employment drug screen
Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
Ability to lift and move up to 70 lb. while handling fueling carts and hoses
Basic math calculation skills
Comfortable working outdoor in all weather conditions
Pass background check and obtain U.S. Customs seal
Availability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to learn quickly
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; request clarification when needed
Strong interpersonal skills
Team‑player
Build relationships with colleagues and clients
