Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician II (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is
$18.00
per hour. Salary information above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Responsibilities
Take received material from the shipping dock and transfer it to the storeroom using forklift and hand trucks. Issue materials out to fill point of use (POU) and execute all required tasks including allocation, picking, and delivering to departments as necessary. Use AS400 for timely and accurate completion of cycle counts. Organize pallets and blue bins for storage or to be sent out to vendors. Perform Shipping Technician I duties as needed and support the supply chain materials process to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products safely and in a timely manner following Standard Work. Comply with environment, health, and safety guidelines and sustain 5S+ in the area. Unload and load trucks arriving or leaving from the receiving area and place material in proper bin location or deliver material to work centers. Identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root cause analysis in response to quality or production issues. Follow all safety policies, procedures, WSRA’s, and wear proper PPE. Report any safety issue identified immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager. Follow standard operating procedures and method sheets. Maintain quality through visual inspections of materials and cross‑train or stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary. Support material handlers with receiving as needed, and support shipping associates with boxing, crating, and other responsibilities. Use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory and scan items from trucks. Operate a forklift to perform job duties and organize empty pallets and bins to be sent to vendors while completing 5S+ in the area. Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products; may lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs. Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred: 6 months manufacturing experience in an industrial environment. Preferred: 6 months experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift). Preferred: 6 months experience using hand and air tools. Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate with team members. Ensure shipping components meet quality standards; be flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks. Work independently with minimum direction. Equal Employment Opportunity & Fair Chance
