Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler Shipping and Receiving - 2nd Shift to join our team.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

The core hours are Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 11pm.

What You’ll Do The primary function of the Material Handler Shipping and Receiving position is to provide expertise in coordinating the delivery from Receiving of material throughout the facility across multiple product lines. This position will require very strict control of inventory, high organization skills, and self-driven actions. This position will require the use of both marketeer and standup fork truck. Along with direct communication to other material handlers and product line supervisors and team leads.

In This Function You Will

Collect and turn in all cycled Kanban cards to correct Material Planner

Complete Rack Audits & use AS400 to locate material as needed

Recognizing urgent requests from Supervisors and production employees with immediate action upon those requests

Ability to support the other areas of the Material Handing Team when needed

Safely operate PIV equipment and adhere to all safety precautions

Combine partial pallets at POU to keep shelves emptied for additional material, to ensure effective material flow

Load POU locations using FIFO methods / Spike Card Consumption to ensure oldest material used first

Ability to float into other positions of the SCM team & Material Handing Team when needed

Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications

Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification

No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 - miles of the Arden, NC facility. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

Fork Truck Certified with 3 or more years of experience

Previous experience with AS400 and vista, Microsoft Office

Previous Shipping & Receiving experience

Position Criteria

Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

Strong communication skills both oral & written

Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead

Ability to climb ladders

Certified PIV operator

Proven track record of safe PIV operation

Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal direction
