Registered Nurse – Children’s Program
Location: Brewster, MA
Compensation: $48.00 – $50.40 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 32 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily health needs of students
Coordinate appointments for preventive, specialized, and emergency health care
Coordinate and monitor medication use, including ordering, administration, and documentation per DPH regulations and agency policies
Monitor medical treatment to ensure follow-through via program staff
Serve as a liaison to families, referring agencies, and community resources regarding medical needs
Coordinate and facilitate weekly psychiatric consults/medication reviews in the absence of the Director of Nursing
Maintain student medical records and prepare required program reports
Conduct medication distribution training for non-medical staff per DPH guidelines, at least once a year
Provide in-service training and medical orientation on health education and human sexuality
Participate in intake and discharge planning
Maintain an adequate inventory of medical supplies
Participate in program development, implementation, and evaluation
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Relevant experience in nursing
Psychiatric or special needs experience preferred
Valid Driver’s License
MA Registered Nursing License
