Job Overview
Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Class B Driver to join our Park View Place team. In alignment with GSL’s mission and values, Drivers are responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for residents while delivering an exceptional hospitality experience that reflects the elegance and care of our community. All responsibilities must be completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations.
This position has an hourly range of $21.50- $24.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport residents to and from scheduled outings, appointments, and community events
Operate community vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations, state laws, and company policies
Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, including mobility aids as needed
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of vehicles at all times
Provide friendly, courteous interaction with residents and guests during transport
Coordinate schedules with community staff and adhere to posted transportation timelines
Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation
Support community events and special outings as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid
Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
with passenger endorsement (as required by state)
Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screening
Previous experience driving buses, shuttles, or commercial passenger vehicles preferred
Warm, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends or evenings
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care.
Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
Able to operate office equipment including copier, telephone, postage machine, time clock, medical alert system.
Able to adapt and respond to changes, make decisions, and prioritize tasks and projects.
Able to read, write and speak the English language to interact and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, physicians, health care professionals, residents, and their families.
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Handler’s certification, as needed.
Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, test within 72 hours of start date.
