Position Description
Immediate opening for a SOLO NON CDL Part Time Truck Driver at Ryder in Longview, TX.

Pay and Schedule
Driver positions pay weekly, averaging $685 or more per week.
Hourly Pay: $27.40 per hour plus $5.55 per hour health & welfare stipend.
Hours per week: up to 29 hours.
Schedule: Monday - Saturday (OFF Sunday).
Route and Equipment
Deliver SOLOTo: Longview & Surrounding Areas.
Route: Local Home Daily.
Tractor Type: Straight truck.
Trailer Type: 16' & 26' Straight Truck.
Freight: Touch - US Mail.

USPS Account Requirements
Secondary background screen - Federal Level 2 conducted by USPS.
Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless exempt.
Job Responsibilities
Safely drive a vehicle in compliance with safety regulations and continue continuous training and customer service.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum age 21.
Minimum 6 months verifiable driving experience: 6 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years.
Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to follow written or oral instructions and to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Additional Information Some positions require additional screening such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, badging, or background requirements of the customer team assigned.
