Driver Positions Pay Weekly
Hourly Pay: $27.40 per hour + $5.55 per hour health & welfare stipend
Hours per week: Up to 29 hours
Schedule: Monday - Saturday (off Sunday)

Route: local home daily
Tractor type: straight truck
Trailer type: 16' & 26' straight truck
Freight: Touch - US Mail
Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance & company drivers fuel trucks at over 800 nationwide maintenance facilities.

Requirements:
Minimum 21 years of age
Minimum of 6 months verifiable driving experience
Pass a Ryder drug test
Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment if position is operating a straight truck or box truck:
6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
5 years' experience within the last 10 years
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Important Note:
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or customer‑specific background requirements.
Responsibilities:
Safely drive a vehicle within and comply with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
Maintaining accurate records, loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Other tasks as assigned
