Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of the products represented, prepare and serve samples, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
Responsibilities
Proactively intercept, engage, interact and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of each product.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using appropriate cleaning chemicals.
Set up and prepare event tables for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on all assigned work.
Assist with client visit preparation and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports as per company policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Use the internet, company electronic systems, Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience or training preferred.
Proficient with personal computer or mobile device applications and internal systems.
Local Food Handlers permit may be required.
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate a wheeled demonstration cart.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage consumers.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, and use hands and fingers for tasks at the shift.
Reach overhead up to 65 inches, stoop, kneel, squat, and climb or step up a ladder.
Balance and lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden.
Prepare foods and beverages using appliances such as convection ovens, coffee makers, electric fryers, and microwaves.
Operate cleaning supplies in contact with food preparation areas.
Work Environment Retail store environment with limited travel.
